Horticulture Volunteers

Volunteer

Our volunteers lie at the core of the Butterfly Pavilion's operations. Their enthusiasm, knowledge and
friendliness shape our visitors' experiences.

Training
You will attend a two day, six-hour orientation where we will introduce you to the Butterfly Pavilion, focusing on our tropical butterflies and plants. Additional training may be required for other areas, with practical training coming from shadowing.

Time Commitment
Only eight hours a month. Volunteers making this commitment are given active status with special benefits.

Benefits
Continued learning and social opportunities with other volunteers and staff, recognition for your contributions, discounts in our museum store, newsletters, previews of new exhibits and free visits to the Butterfly Pavilion for your personal enjoyment.

Additional learning opportunities include: Guest speakers, staff & volunteer interactions and your own personal observations & interactions with our arthropods.
