Explore exciting nature topics with the whole family! Workshops are typically held on Saturdays.

Upcoming 2022 Workshops

 

Saturday June 18: 10:30 am - 12 pm

Pollinators: Have you ever wondered how pollination is done? Did you ever think that engineering was related to how pollination works? Join us for an exciting day to learn about some of your favorite pollinators and test out what is the best way to pollinate! 

 

Saturday July 16: 10:30 am - 12 pm

Rosie the Tarantula: It is Rosie’s birthday! Join us as we learn about what our zookeepers do behind the scenes to take care of your favorite tarantula.  

 

Saturday August 20: 10:30 am - 12 pm

Octopus: Have you ever tried to get an octopus to do the YMCA? Do you think they can? Join us for a day of exploration into the world of octopuses and how this animal has influenced technology. 

 

Saturday September 17: 10:30 am - 12 pm

Honeybees: Did you know there was a world conservation day dedicated to honeybees? Join us as we celebrate these magnificent creatures and the amazing products, they provide us. 


COST:

Members: $6 Adults, $4 Children (2 – 12)
Non-members: $14 Adults, $6 Children (2 – 12)
Includes admission to Butterfly Pavilion

Please note:

  • Pre-registration and pre-payment required. Family Nature Club workshops are best suited for families with children ages 4-10.
  • 20 person maximum per program, unless specified otherwise.
  • Bringing a group or have questions about ages? Call us at 720-974-1877 to see which program can best accommodate you!
  • Programs are not eligible for senior discounts. Children under 2 years old are free of admission, but content is not well suited for this age range.
