Join us on June 29th for Butterfly Pavilion’s Pollinator Palooza Festival, where the wonders of nature come to life in a celebration of pollinators and the vital role they play in our world.

Experience a thrilling hybrid outdoor and indoor pollinator extravaganza featuring all-day live entertainment. Included with general admission, and free for members, this event promises non-stop excitement and unforgettable moments!  

Whether you're dancing to the rhythm of live music, immersing yourself in captivating exhibits, or indulging in delightful treats, this festival promises an experience you won't soon forget. The Pollinator Palooza Festival provides entertainment and enjoyment for all ages.  

By attending this festival, you're helping foster a sense of environmental stewardship and supporting the beauty and significance of pollinators. By raising awareness about the challenges facing these important creatures, such as habitat loss and pesticide use, we hope to encourage you to take action in protecting them.

Meet the Bands: 

Racyne Parker: This Denver- based singer-songwriter draws inspiration from country, modern fold, indie rock, and pop to deliver catchy lyrics, warm vocals, and a contemporary style that fits well on playlists next to Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift, and Miranda Lambert.  

Sasquatch: Sasquatch is a Denver- based band with multi- musical interests and instrumentation. While blending the genres of Bluegrass, Country, Blues, Zydeco, and Rock, the band's mixture of versatile originals and eclectic covers ensure every show is an amazing and unique performance. 

ATOMGA: Celebrating 13 years as a band, ATOMGA is a refreshing staple in the Colorado music circuit creating a unique brand of afrobeat infused music infused with elements of jazz, rock, hip hop, and funk.

  • Seed Planting Activity | All day | Location: Garden gazebo 
  • Plant seeds for pollinator-attracting flowers and decorate pots to take home. No registration required. 
  • Garden Tours | 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. | Location: Discovery Gardens
  • Join Butterfly Pavilion horticulture experts for a multi-sensory, immersive walk through our Discovery Gardens. During this 20-minute outdoor program, we will look for friendly pollinators, monitor wildlife, and experience the bounty and beauty of the summer garden. Advance Sign-up Required at Registration Booth.   
  • Pollinator Census | 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. | Location: Discovery Gardens  
  • Discover the pollinators that thrive in our gardens and open spaces around Butterfly Pavilion! Guided by a member of our interpretation team, participants will net, identify, and release local pollinators. Advance Sign-up Required at Registration Booth.   
  • Rainforest Tour | 2:30 p.m. | Location: Wings of the Tropics Exhibit (inside) 
  • Our Wings of the Tropics conservatory isn’t just about butterflies!  Explore the rainforest with Butterfly Pavilion horticulture experts and learn about tropical plants and pollinators, their wild interactions with exotic plants, and how you can be part of our global conservation effort. This 20-minute walk through our conservatory will reveal secrets about some of our favorite butterflies and plants, especially crops such as chocolate, coffee, and vanilla! Advance Sign-up Required at Registration Booth.   
  • Nature Walks | 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. | Location: Westminster City Trails 
  • Learn how to identify evidence of wildlife, local plants, and different ecosystems in this 20-minute guided interpretive walk. Advance Sign-up Required at Registration Booth.   
  • Butterfly Releases | 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. | Location: Wings of the Tropics Exhibit (inside)  
  • Watch newly emerged butterflies from our chrysalis chamber take their first flight exploring their first day of being a butterfly when we release them twice a day our into Wings of the Tropics rainforest exhibit.​ No registration required.
