Saturday, December 22 - Animal Presents II (half day camp 9-12 – for parents to get some shopping in!) This one will feature a different take home present from the previous Saturday!
Thursday, December 27 – Winter in the Rainforest Here in Colorado, summer looks totally different from winter. What happens in the rainforest? Does it get cold or stay warm? Are butterflies still flying around? Join us as we explore our tropical rainforest and discover what life looks like at the equator!
Friday, December 28 - Snow Science - What’s the difference between snow, frost, and slush? How can every snowflake possibly be unique? Discover the magic behind and even make your own snow in this blustery camp!
Wednesday, January 2 – Happy Twenty-Flight-Teen! –Join us to ring in the new year as we look at flight – and the animals that do it so well! From dragonflies to butterflies to birds to beetles – learn what it takes to fly and put it to the test!
Thursday, January 3 – Snug as a Bug! Let’s get snug as a bug in a rug! Come join us for an exploration of hibernating bugs! Through games and crafts we will discover where bugs go in the winter and how they survive freezing temperatures.
Friday, January 4 – Frozen in Time - Some bugs don’t only get snug in a rug during the winter - some totally freeze to survive! Join us for an exploration of winter animals frozen in time.
Monday, January 7 – Trip to the Tropics - It may be cold outside, but inside Butterfly Pavilion our conservatory offers a tropical getaway! With games, art projects, and live animals, we’ll be taking a real life trip to the tropics.
Tuesday, January 8 – Winter Survival - Humans weren’t meant to sleep in the snow, but you’ll be ready to survive the frost with our Winter Survival camp! From fort building to staying warm – we’ll be ready to brave any situation.
Monday, January 21 (Martin Luther King Day) – Pinecone Party - Ah the pinecone - a rich and twisted work of art. Join us as we hunt for pinecones, dissect them, use them as artistic tools and create birdfeeders to discover why they really are one of nature's gifts!
Monday, February 18 (President's Day) – Wetland Wonders - Wetlands are wonderful! This habitat provides numerous ecosystem services and is a home to many of Butterfly Pavilion’s inhabitants. Through games, exploration, and animal encounters, we’ll discover why the wetlands are the dragonfly’s favorite place!
Full Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm – $45 for members, $50 for non-members
Half Day (Morning Only): 9:00 am - 12:00 pm – $27 for members, $30 for non-members
Early drop off (8:00 am - 9:00 am) and late pick up (4:00 pm - 5:00 pm) options available for $5 extra per child/day
