Access the incredible animals that carry the weight of our world on your computer or mobile device.

Distance Learning Programs – $3 per computer

Every week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11 am MST, join Butterfly Pavilion for a special virtual class on invertebrate topics! All you need is a computer and high speed internet connection to join the program, allowing you to interact directly with our educators and scientists. If you enjoy Butterfly Pavilion’s programs and would like to make a gift, you can do so here.

**Registration closes 30 minutes prior to the start of each program. You will receive a link 30 minutes prior to the start of each program with instructions on how to connect.**

Who Needs a Habitat? (K – 3rd grade suggested) 

Learners will discover the components of habitat that all living things need, and virtually explore invertebrates and their homes.

Butterflies in Our Backyard (all ages)

As spring returns, so do some beautiful pollinators! Explore the diverse and incredible world of butterflies from the migratory Monarchs to the high-altitude Hairstreak! Learn about ways you can participate in Citizen Science and monitor the butterflies where you live as we answer the question,  What butterflies live in our backyard?

Student scientists are challenged to use their senses to observe and interact with three live animals to solve the mystery of their connection metamorphosis!

Virtual Field Trips (Kindergarten & Higher) 

We are committed to making our programs accessible to all. However, as a nonprofit, donations allow us to continue to offer these programs. 

Length: Up to 60 minutes

Fee: $100 per session, sequential sessions discounted

Group Size/Session: 50 participants per session

Teachers can now bring the excitement of a Butterfly Pavilion field trip to students, virtually! Enjoy a fun and interactive opportunity to keep students learning from wherever they are.

Programs are delivered by our skilled team of educators, are curriculum-aligned, and focus on themes related to conservation, environmental science, biology, and other STEM disciplines. Explore adaptations, metamorphosis, ecosystem interactions,  and more!
