Free Distance Learning Programs

We are committed to making our programs accessible to all. However, as a nonprofit, donations allow us to continue to offer these programs. If you are able to contribute, we suggest a $3 donation per computer. 

Every week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 11 am MST, join Butterfly Pavilion for a special virtual class on invertebrate topics! All you need is a computer and high speed internet connection to join the program, allowing you to interact directly with our educators and scientists.

**Registration closes 30 minutes prior to the start of each program. You will receive a link 30 minutes prior to the start of each program with instructions on how to connect.**

Besieged Bees (3rd-5th grade suggested)
In this empowering program presented via interactive video conference, participants compare three types of bees, discover why bees are important, investigate their population decline, and generate ideas to help conserve and restore their numbers!

Student scientists are challenged to use their senses to observe and interact virtually with three live animals to solve the mystery of their connection–metamorphosis!

The Coral Connection (all ages)
What is the coral connection? Let’s find out in this exploratory virtual program as we discover where our water goes and how we affect it. Learn about all the ways we are connected to the oceans – even Butterfly Pavilion in land-locked Colorado! The Coral Connection might be easier to find than you think!

Teachers can now bring the excitement of a Butterfly Pavilion field trip to students, virtually! Enjoy a fun and interactive opportunity to keep students learning from wherever they are.

Programs are delivered by our skilled team of educators, are curriculum-aligned, and focus on themes related to conservation, environmental science, biology, and other STEM disciplines. Explore adaptations, metamorphosis, ecosystem interactions,  and more!
