Tea Time

 Indulge in delectable tea and scrumptious cookies as you explore a range of fascinating topics, from the amazing role of insects as essential pollinators to captivating community science initiatives. Our program caters to the needs and interests of your group, ensuring that you have a truly personalized experience. Sessions can be selected on a date of your choice, with the recommended time of 1:30- 2:30 pm.

  • Colorado Pollinators
    • Pollinators are essential to our diverse Colorado ecosystem. Dive in to learn about all the bees, butterflies, beetles, moths and more that are the pollinator superheroes of Colorado.  
  • Intro to Inverts
    • Butterfly Pavilion is a world-renowned invertebrate zoo, but what is an invertebrate?? Invertebrates are an incredibly diverse group of animals that help keep our world in balance. During this class, you will meet some live invertebrate guests and have a thrilling intro to invertebrates!

  • Amazing Arachnids
    • Arachnids are a group of arthropods consisting of spiders, harvestman, scorpions, ticks, and mites. They are one of the most feared and misunderstood groups of invertebrates. In this lesson, we go through the anatomy of arachnids, their environmental importance, the most common arachnids around us, and how we can conserve them for the future.

  • Beautiful Butterflies
    • Discover a rainbow of color as you meet face-to-face with tropical butterfly specimen from around the world, and learn about the intriguing behaviors and complex life cycles of our fascinating fluttery friends.
  • Gardening for Pollinators
    • This class will teach you how to create a thriving garden that attracts and supports pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. You will learn about the importance of pollinators, how to choose the right plants for your garden, and how to create a healthy and sustainable garden ecosystem. Whether you are a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this class will equip you with the knowledge and skills to create a beautiful and beneficial garden for both you and the environment.
