Patrick is the President and CEO of Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado, and has been with the organization since June of 1999. He has dedicated over 20 years to professional leadership and strategic planning and is now a well known community leader in environmental education and conservation.

Sara Stevens, Director of Animal Collections

Sara Stevens is a marine biologist from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Sara has been with Butterfly Pavilion since 2015 and is currently leading a number of research and conservation programs related to aquatic invertebrates including the Colorado Dragonfly Monitoring Project and the AZA-Florida Reef Tract Rescue Project.

Dr. Rich Reading, Vice President of Science and Conservation

Dr. Rich Reading is the Vice President of Science and Conservation for Butterfly Pavilion, and has been with the organization since 2016. Richard has expanded Butterfly Pavilion's research and conservation programs, in particular working on snails, factors influencing invertebrate communities, bees and other pollinators, dragonflies, fireflies, butterflies and prairie restoration protection in the U.S. and overseas; assisting in fund raising; providing statistical and scientific writing advice; developing and overseeing a Research Associate Program; and more.

Francisco Garcia Bulle Bueno, Target Species Manager

Francisco Garcia Bulle Bueno is an entomologist from Mexico City, Mexico. He joined Butterfly Pavilion in January 2023, where he curates the terrestrial invertebrates’ living collection.

Amy Yarger, Director of Horticulture

Amy Yarger is the Director of Horticulture and has been with Butterfly Pavilion since may of 2000! Amy currently leads Butterfly Pavilion's local pollinator habitat initiatives, such as the Baseline Pollinator District and the Urban Prairies Project, which restores habitat in urban and suburban green spaces in Westminster and Broomfield

Shiran Hershcovich, Lepidopterist Manager

Shiran Hershcovich is an entomologist from Panama City, Panama. She joined Butterfly Pavilion in 2021, where she curates the conservatory’s living collections of butterflies.

Ashley White, Community Habitats Manager

Ashley is the Community Habitats Manager, and has been with Butterfly Pavilion since 2017! She helps to manage greenspace restoration initiatives and habitat stewardship programs throughout the Front Range, works with community members in generating native plant materials and installing and caring for invertebrate-friendly gardens, and supports the care of our BP plant collections!
