Patrick is the President and CEO of the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado, and has been with the organization since June of 1999. He has dedicated over 20 years to professional leadership and strategic planning and is now a well known community leader in environmental education and conservation.

Mario Padilla, Director of Animal Collections
Mario Padilla is an entomologist from Alamosa, Colorado with a specialty in the study of insects in the order Hymenoptera (ants, bees and wasps). He was been with an integral part of the Butterfly Pavilion team since 2015. Mario currently teaches beekeeping courses and manages a number of honey bee colonies in the Westminster community while overseeing all animal care in the Butterfly Pavilion facility.

Sara Stevens, Aquatics Manager
Sara Stevens is a marine biologist from Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Sara has been with Butterfly Pavilion since 2019 and is currently leading a number of research and conservation programs related to aquatic invertebrates including the Colorado Dragonfly Monitoring Project and the AZA-Florida Reef Tract Rescue Project.
