Directions to Butterfly Pavilion

Butterfly Pavilion is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., year round. We are conveniently located just 15 minutes from downtown Denver off Hwy 36 at 104th Avenue. *Please note: There’s construction out on 104th, so if you’re heading west (toward Hwy 36) you can’t make a left to get to Butterfly Pavilion.

Holiday hours:

December 24, 2022: Closing early at 1:00 PM, with the last entrance at 12:15 PM

December 25th, 2022: CLOSED

December 31st, 2022: Closing early at 3:00 PM, with the last entrance at 2:15 PM

January 1st, 2023: Opening late at 11:00 AM

 

 

Hwy 36 is a great way to get to Butterfly Pavilion. It’s easy, convenient, and accessible. Just travel west on Hwy 36 and exit north on 104th Avenue. We are located on the corner of 104th Avenue and Westminster Blvd. Our parking lot entrance is located off Westminster Blvd.

If traveling from the south, take I-25 north to Hwy 36 west, exit 104th Avenue north, and take a right at Westminster Blvd.

If traveling from the north, take I-25 south to 104th Avenue exit west, and take a left at Westminster Blvd.

If traveling from the west, take Hwy 36 east and exit 104th Avenue north (left) to Westminster Blvd, then turn right.

If traveling from the east, you can take 104th or Hwy 36 west.

Walk among free-flying butterflies in a tropical paradise.

Transport yourself to the Survival exhibit, home of Rosie the tarantula and other small wonders! Explore and learn about dozens of species of arthropods. Sharpen your observation skills as you discover animals hidden in their native habitats.

Water’s Edge

Explore the incredible diversity of underwater invertebrates.

Outdoor Gardens

Experience the wonder of Colorado’s wild invertebrates! The outdoor gardens at Butterfly Pavilion are designed to provide habitat for native invertebrates with a focus on native pollinators, while also providing four-season beauty and a place to wander, relax, and learn.

Daily Programs & Showtimes

There’s always something new to discover at Butterfly Pavilion! Join Butterfly Pavilion’s interpretive specialists to learn more about the amazing plants and animals at the zoo. Daily programs can include feeding demonstrations, animal encounters, guided tours, and interactive presentations.
