Rosie is our beloved Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula and a favorite among young visitors. Females can live up to 30 years, spending most of their lives in underground burrows to stay cool in the harsh desert heat!

These cave cockroaches are adapted to life in dark, sheltered environments. Like other cockroaches, they help recycle nutrients by feeding on decaying plants and animal material. 

Despite its name, the Dorcus beetle is actually a very fascinating insect! Known for its bold black color, males use their large mandibles to fight rival males for territory and mating rights with females.

Black widows are much more likely to avoid you than harm you. Females are recognized by a red hourglass marking on their underside, while males lack it. They help ecosystems by controlling pest insects like mosquitoes and flies.

The Deathstalker Scorpion is a highly venomous species found across North Africa and the Middle East. Its venom contains a mix of neurotoxins that help it subdue prey and defend itself from predators. 

Elephant Beetles use their impressive horns to battle for mates and access to food sources like trees and crops. They feed on bark, sap, fruit, and more. 

Known for their venomous bites and spray that gets into your eyes, these impressive insects often hunt in groups, allowing them to take down prey much larger than themselves. Instead of pinching or swarming their meals, they use a specialized mouthpart to inject venom that gently breaks down their prey from the inside out, making it easier for them to enjoy their meal.
