Just in time for Halloween, spiders are arriving from around the globe this October for a limited-time engagement, Spiders Around the World, exclusively at Butterfly Pavilion. Engage with stunning, vibrant, and awe-inspiring tarantulas and walk amongst visually striking, exquisite, and free-roaming Orb Weavers spinning their intricate webs in Spider Dome!
More than 20 spider species will be on display during our engaging and educational exhibition, and we’ve got some festive visitors! Come meet South American wonders, including the Skeleton Tarantula and Colombian Pumpkin Patch Tarantula and get in the Halloween spirit! Meanwhile, extraordinary spiders like the Gooty Sapphire Ornamental Tarantula and the Cobalt Blue Tarantula will encourage guests to view invertebrates with curiosity and wonder, not fear.
Butterfly Pavilion also invites guests to engage with some new friends in Spider Dome, an exotic enclosure full of orb-weaving spiders within the Wings of the Tropics exhibit. Get up close and personal with dozens of orb-weaving spiders displaying their elaborate, complex, and distinctive webs!

October 22 from 1-3 PM. Create a world of your very own! Join Butterfly Pavilion and The Terrorium Shop in ‘Mini Worlds, a class where you create a glass dome adorned with a cork base, a pinned Colotis Regina or Heliconius Doris butterfly, and an assortment of botanicals, crystals and more!Learn More
Spooky Evening Flashlight Tours
Oct. 22 & 23, 7:00PM- 8:00 PM and Oct. 29 & 30, 8:30 PM – 9:30PM.After the little ones have gone to bed, guests can experience Butterfly Pavilion with a one-of-a-kind, after-hours, guided flashlight tour through four indoor exhibit areas featuring diverse invertebrates at every corner.Learn More
Spider Research & Conservation
