Pollinators are essential to every ecosystem. Dive in and learn all about one special pollinator –  bees – and everything there is to know. Identify the different roles bees have and why, and even learn why they are important to our food system. In addition, immerse yourself in the captivating world of beekeeping as you embark on an exclusive tour of Butterfly Pavilion’s enchanting apiary. This opportunity grants a firsthand glimpse into the lives of these remarkable insects within their natural habitat. Get ready to embrace the role of a budding beekeeper as you witness the intricacies of bee behavior and their hive dynamics.  

Badge requirements met:

  • Environmental Science – Pollination [G(1-3)]

Available dates: Monday – Thursday

Pricing:

  • $15 per scout
  • $10 per troop leader
  • We are also happy to provide you with the convenience of having the workshop at your location for a fee of $150 plus mileage ($0.65/mile)
All prices include admission to exhibits, groups must be a minimum of 10.
