Virtual Beekeeping Bootcamp 2025

Whether you’re a budding enthusiast or a seasoned hobbyist, our comprehensive five-part series is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to thrive in the world of beekeeping.  

Through engaging workshops, interactive sessions, and expert virtual instruction, you’ll gain invaluable insights into the fascinating lives of bees. Learn the art of sustainable beekeeping practices, discover the importance of bee conservation, and unearth the secrets of the apiary and honey extraction. 

Work alongside Butterfly Pavilion beekeeping experts and other beginner beekeepers, developing the skills necessary to achieve thriving beehives. Beekeeping Bootcamp is taught by a qualified beginning beekeeper class instructor through the Colorado State Beekeeping Association (CSBA)! 

How it works: 

The Beekeeping Bootcamp series comprises five one and a half hour workshops throughout the year taught by beekeeper Lorna McCallister & Butterfly Pavilions Target Species Manager, Francisco Garcia Bulle Bueno, live on Zoom. Workshops include instruction and information over Zoom that beekeepers can then apply to their own hives. Workshops will not include hives and beekeeping supplies but will provide informational materials and knowledge on where to get supplies from.
