Virtual Moth Scientific Illustration

Explore the enchanting world of moths in our two-hour virtual scientific illustration class. Join us for a journey blending art and science, where you’ll spend the first 30 minutes in an interactive session learning about moths and their importance in the environment as “night shift” pollinators. The next hour and a half will be learning how to capture the ethereal beauty of moths with an introduction to scientific illustration.

Instructor:  Skye Young Professional Scientific Illustrator  

Formerly of Denver CO, Skye is an illustrator and educator living in Wales, UK with her husband, black cat, and curious hound dog. She is currently working to establish Creative Space, an interdisciplinary arts space for the community to explore their creativity, sense of place, and belonging through workshops and shared studio space.

Her artwork is an exploration of the inextricable connection humans have with the natural world, through life and death, and a celebration of beauty and inquiry.
