Dive into a day of adventure as we explore nature and spot amazing critters! Every time you spot and log a species, you’re helping park staff and local groups protect the wildlife of Eldorado Canyon.

What to Expect

Team Up with Experts Join park staff, the Butterfly Pavilion, Xerces Society (an international nonprofit organization that protects the natural world through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitats) and local mycologist. We will venture off on a scavenger hunt around the park! Let’s see what cool bugs, plants, and flowers we can find together.

Exciting Activities

  • Aquatic Insects Activity – Discover the wonders of aquatic insects
  • Craft and Educational Tables – Hands-on activities and learning about local plants and animals
  • iNaturalist Demonstration – Get tips on how to document what you find
