Butterfly Pavilion’s exclusive new honey is now available in our gift shop!
Behind every bottle of Butterfly Pavilion honey is a story of community collaboration, sustainable beekeeping, and global conservation, connecting our local Colorado hives directly to programs worldwide.
From Front Range Hives to Your Table
This exclusive batch of raw honey is harvested from more than 30 honeybee colonies cared for by the beekeeping team at Butterfly Pavilion.
During the foraging season, these hardworking bees travel up to five miles in search of local nectar and pollen. When walking through Butterfly Pavilions gardens you’ve likely crossed paths with one of these bees at work!

Our beekeepers and local partners prioritize colony health through every step of the harvest:
-
Extraction: Beekeepers safely remove the bees from the frames and take only the excess honey, leaving plenty behind so the colonies remain strong and well-nourished throughout the year.
-
Bottling: The harvested raw honey is transported to our partners at Bee Squared Apiaries in Berthoud, Colorado, where it is carefully extracted, processed, and bottled.

Local Honey with a Global Reach
When you take home a jar of this honey, you’re doing more than enjoying a sweet local treat—you’re directly funding invertebrate and pollinator conservation. Every purchase supports Butterfly Pavilion’s vital field projects around the world, including:
-
Bees for Elephants (Tanzania & Botswana): Utilizing beehive fences that reduce human-elephant conflict by up to 90%, this initiative protects both elephant populations and rural farming communities.
-
Stingless Bee Conservation (Ecuadorian Amazon): Partnering with indigenous communities to rescue and protect native stingless bee colonies that pollinate local fruits.
